Hi! I’m Laura Dumitriu,
a children’s book illustrator, digital artist, and educator specializing in character design. Originally from Romania, I’ve been passionate about art since high school and university, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I fully transitioned into illustration—a field that gives me a deep sense of purpose and joy.
My work is all about creating diverse characters, drawing inspiration from the world around me and my love of travel. I enjoy exploring different cultural influences and incorporating them into my style, always striving to bring more representation and vibrancy into my art.
Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible brands like Reddit, Huion, FlexiSpot, Paperlike, and XP-Pen, and my art has been featured in Character Design Quarterly Magazine. In the last three years alone, I’ve illustrated over 10 children’s books.
